2009 Expenses Scandal

I covered this story extensively while I was working at Trinity Mirror’s regional Scottish title, the Wishaw Press. I investigated the expenses of the Wishaw Press’s two local MPs, Frank Roy and John Reid. The following is a series of articles from the coverage I produced.

“WHAT compassion did he show my son when he stabbed him to death?”  Those are the words of distraught Wishaw mother Mary Caven, who this week told of her “disgust” at how her son’s murderer was let out of prison on compassionate grounds to visit his dying gran.
